Dr. Qin Chu, TCMD, PHD, L. Ac.
I have been a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) since graduating from the University of Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1995. For my Medical Doctor Degree studies, I specialized in the area of endocrine system diseases. My PH.D degree work focused on neurology, where I conducted research, treated patients and taught students. I am proud that my research projects have been beneficial to many dementia patients, stroke patients and Parkinson’s patients in China and am pleased that I have been able to use my intensive training and special acupuncture skills to help so many people with their health problems.
Specialties: I have a strong clinical background in gynecology, infertility, menstrual disorders, and dermatology, as well as my specialty areas of neurology and endocrinology. Using the TCM therapeutic methods of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, I have had great success in the treatment of neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke sequelae, and ALS. Two other areas of focus are relief of pain conditions including menstrual pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, neck and back pain, headaches, migraines, and TMJ, and successful treatment of endocrine disorders such as PMS, irregular/late/early menstrual cycle, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and obesity.
